If you choose AC on the PV inputs window, you are indicating that the PV array has its own dedicated inverter, and the PV-inverter combination produces AC power.  The PV array will appear connected to the AC bus in the schematic.  (Make sure that you account for the cost and efficiency of the dedicated inverter when modeling the PV array in this way.)
