When I enter the load figures, do I enter them having taken into account the Power Factor (ie my TV has a power factor of 0.9, is 100 watts so I am using 111 watts x hrs as the load to the included)?

No, HOMER only considers real power flows, so you should enter 100 Watts for the TV.  You should do the same for the generator and any other components of the system.  HOMER's implicit assumption is that all AC components of the system operate on the same power factor.
