To create a new component model in the library, use the "Copy" button.

We removed the "Add new" button from the HOMER Pro Library in favor of the "Copy" button. It is better to use "Copy" on an existing component model and modify it as needed. For each component in the user library, all the model parameters are listed and modifiable, so you can accomplish the same result with "Copy" as you could with the "New" button.

Creating a new component model from scratch is error-prone. This change solved a number of technical issues surrounding default model values and possible undesired behavior. We could have made the "Add" button secretly copy some "generic" model, but we decided that it would be better to leave this process transparent to the user.
