Wind resource "advanced parameters"
I want to ask for your help about the "advanced parameters" in HOMER. Because I'm not sure whether I can get a correct answer from local metereological department.
The parameters that are already in the HOMER files for "advanced" parameters of wind data are the default values. These are what we always use, except in very unusual cases where there is very detailed wind speed data for a specific site collected over a year or more. In that case, the parameters can be adjusted to generate a Weibull distribution of wind speed values that better fit the available data. In all other cases, the default values give the best representation of the distribution of wind speed that we know how to generate, when we do not have that much more detailed and specific data. Data available from the meteorological department will not be detailed enough to use to develop better advanced parameters, so you should use the default values.
