• A key addition in both products is Storage Degradation Tables, providing a more flexible framework for modeling battery degradation based on manufacturer warranties and performance guarantees. Users can now define degradation trajectories by year, incorporate warranty curves for different annual cycling levels, and choose how degradation is interpreted between operating conditions, enabling project assumptions to better reflect actual battery supplier commitments.
• Complementing this capability, Battery Augmentation Modeling allows users to add new storage capacity throughout the project lifetime. This reflects the growing industry practice of augmenting battery systems to offset degradation and maintain energy and capacity commitments over the life of the asset.
• More accurate battery wear-cost calculations to better reflect lifecycle impacts.
